Rankings

Every sitting member of the House and Senate, ranked by the measure you pick. Ranks count within the chamber filter: #1 in Senate is first among senators. Figures here are the ones each member's own page shows.

Methodology: Bipartisanship

Two shares from congress.gov cosponsor lists for the 119th Congress so far: how often a member cosponsors bills introduced by the other party, and how often their own bills draw at least one cosponsor from the other party. Each share is divided by the chamber's average this Congress, and the two are averaged, so 1.00 is as bipartisan as the chamber on average. Bills and joint resolutions only, leaving out ceremonial ones. Needs at least 5 sponsored bills and one cosponsorship to be ranked; independents count with the party they caucus with. Adapted from the Lugar Center's Bipartisan Index, which scores each half in standard deviations from a 20-year baseline; here each half is a ratio to this Congress's average.
