What it does

This act requires federal agencies with working dog programs, and contractors managing such programs, to implement the recommendations of a Government Accountability Office report titled Working Dogs: Federal Agencies Need to Better Address Health and Welfare and published in October 2022.

Further, the Department of State must take steps to ensure that donations of working dogs provided to foreign partners by the State Department are executed and monitored according to those recommendations.
